How to build a charm bracelet
4 min read ยท Petal Charms

A charm bracelet tells a story, and the sweet part is that you add to it as you go.
Here is how to begin without feeling overwhelmed.
Start with the bracelet
Our link chain bracelet is a stainless steel chain with a lobster clasp and an adjustable length, about 6.5 in plus a 2 in extender. It stacks with other bracelets, and it is a good partner for charms from the starter set.
Check your wrist with the measuring guide so it fits well.
Add your first charm
Choose a charm that means something, like your birth flower or the flower of someone you love. The Birth Flower Charm comes as a pair, so you can keep one and share the other.
Add one charm at a time. A new charm for a birthday or a trip makes the bracelet personal.
Keep it balanced
Space the charms out so they have room to move. Mix sizes if you like, but leave a little chain showing.
When you want to try more at once, the charm bar starter set has a bracelet and about five charms.
Take your time
There is no rush to fill the chain. Many people add a charm every few months, so each one has a memory attached. Keep the clasp closed when you store the bracelet, and wipe it with a soft cloth after wearing. Write down the date you added each charm, if you like.

Questions and answers
How many charms fit on a bracelet?
It depends on the length and the size of the charms. Leave a little space between them so they sit nicely.
Can I add charms later?
Yes. That is the whole idea of a charm bracelet.
